Well, it's finally happened.   I am likely to be made redundant early part of next year.  How do I feel?  It's relief mingled with shock.  It may take a while to sink in.

I really need to get rid of some of the books I've accumulated, they are starting to take over the bedroom.  Some I know I will never read again, so why keep hold of them?

I, like many people on this planet, have recurring dreams.  Mine used to be not so much recurring dreams, but recurring themes.  They either involved a supermarket, of which I seemed to be familiar with, albeit I could not tell you when I woke up where it was, but involved me searching for an elusive shelf; the other theme would be either a town or a building which I would wander round to get to a particular destination which I knew was there but could never find.  I've stopped having both of them, as I was starting to enjoy the challenge, rather than getting frustrated, in fact I remember thinking when having these types of dreams, oh goodie, it's one of those, bring it on.

I'm not one of those who think that dreams have hidden meaning, I believe that 99% of the time they are mixed up thoughts of a part of the brain which doesn't get used during the day - the rest of it is asleep.

Anywaaay, my latest recurring theme is train rides.  Why trains I do not know, but in keeping with the previous pattern I'm trying to get somewhere and am usually getting into difficulties.  Last one I was trying to get to Scotland.  Why Scotland?
